Tech & Equipment Consulting
The right kit, at the right price
I give businesses independent advice on what technology they actually need. No commission, no agenda.
What I do
Advice you can actually trust
Most advice about what computers to buy comes from people who benefit from the sale. Salespeople earn commission. IT providers often make money from complexity. And "we've always used this" isn't a strategy.
I don't sell hardware. I look at your setup, understand what you do day to day, and tell you what to change, what to keep, and what to avoid. That might mean spending less than you planned. It might mean shifting budget from one area to another. Either way, the advice is based on your needs, not my margin.

What I cover
Hardware selection
Laptops, desktops, or servers. I compare real options, explain the trade-offs, and help you avoid both overspending and false economy.
Peripherals and accessories
Monitors, docking stations, webcams, headsets. The stuff that adds up. I'll tell you what's worth buying and what isn't.
Refresh planning
Rather than replacing everything when it breaks, I can help you plan a rolling schedule so your kit stays reliable without a big one-off cost.
Who this is for
You probably need this if...
- You're kitting out a new office or hiring new staff and don't know where to start
- You've been given quotes by suppliers and have no way to tell if they're fair
- Your team's machines are slow and you're not sure what to do about it
- You want to stop buying whatever's cheapest and start buying what's right
I work with sole traders up to teams of around 30. If you're bigger, you probably need a dedicated IT department.
Simple, fixed prices
If you're about to spend a few thousand pounds on equipment, paying a couple of hundred for independent advice that stops you buying the wrong thing is usually a straightforward decision. The initial call is always free.
Written audit and recommendations
I look at your current setup, understand what you need it to do, and send you a clear written report covering what to buy, what to keep, and roughly what it should cost.

Not sure where to start?
A quick call is usually enough to work out whether I can help. No charge for an initial conversation.
